About Madison Philosophical Society

Madison Philosophical Society (MPS) is the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s student-run philosophy club. We have weekly philosophical discussion, including presentations, talks, discussions, debates, and more. We provide a dedicated weekly time not only to philosophize, but to socialize with like-minded thinkers. We also promote and host social events.

We meet Mondays from 7–8 PM in 5193 Helen C. White during the fall and spring semesters. Every UW–Madison student is welcome, and no philosophy background is required.
